I'm the girl that bit my nails for 20 years.  I started when I was a kid and I bit them when I was bored, when I was nervous, or anxious, or they were just too long.  I didn't even stop when I got braces, just figured a way to bite them anyhow.  Over the years I tried so many times to stop and nothing ever stuck.

Then a year and a half ago I got together with some girl friends and they pampered me with a manicure and pedicure since I was 8 months pregnant.  I loved my nails without ragged cuticles!  And they looked so nice not bitten down to the quick!  I realized I needed to get a few tools in my life to keep them looking so nice ; cuticle nippers, cuticle oil, a nail file and a pretty nail polish.  That first pretty nail polish was Essie Tart Deco and I just completely fell in love with the brand.  I love the classic beautiful colors, the shape of the bottle, the brush, and the easy to apply formula.  It's safe to say I became a little Essie obsessed.  My Essie polish stash has grown to almost 100 in the last year (*3 years later and its over 250).  I decided to start this space so that all the colors and collections and things I love about Essie could be contained in one place.  I am not employed by or compensated by Essie to write to this blog - I truly am just a girl who loves their polish.  I hope you enjoy and develop a little Essie envy yourself ;)

I'm so excited to come across your site! I'm a fellow Essie fanatic and just put up some of my own "original content" on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/jenntendo64/nailz-for-dayz/

You're my favorite nail blogger, really love your accurate presentations and pictures of the colors, and especially the comparisons, they make it so much easier choosing the next color I want to buy. I've just become an Essie Lover myself, having bought 35 colors in a few months and constantly adding to the collection. Obsessed with light, neutral pinks, white and nudes at the moment, and your blog really helps so I don't end up buying almost completely similar ones. And thank you so much for always answering questions, even though you have lots of followers and probably get a ton of comments and questions. Wish you were my friend haha! Thank you!

Found you from a link from the fabulous British Beauty Blogger & just book marked your blog.

I love Essie too- their polishes seem to last far longer than other brands on my nails. Think the price point is reasonable too xx

Oh my I am so happy I found your blog and completely love it! I too am Essie obsessed it's the only brand I love and works for me. But I just love how you compare all the shades to similar shades so can see the difference and one which most suits taste. You are going to be responsible for a big dent in my bank account, just looking through last night I found over 11 shades I'd like. But like you with some of the difficulties you seem to have sometimes with getting some in Canada try being in the UK it's even harder. I was looking at browns last night and the two I love unfortunately you can't get over here. Thank you for sharing and look forward to reading and following along more. xx
