Coming Soon : Essie Resort 2017 Collection

Tuesday, April 4, 2017 12 comments

This year's resort collection is inspired by the Amalfi Coast in Italy. gorgeous does that look for inspiration?!
There's some real interesting colours in here! That reddish earthy brown is so different from what we've seen from Essie before and the purple and mint both look like greyed out versions of Essie favourites.

Left to Right: Resort Romanza, Strike a Pose-itano, Ciao Effect & Sorrento Yourself
This is another collection I'm looking forward to swatching and definitely providing comparisons for. What shades would you want to see compared?

This collection was released worldwide on March 21st. I haven't seen it pop up in stores around here yet, but once I do, I will be sure to pick it up!

Thanks for the post, Kindra! These are available at Target here in the States. I've come close to buying Strike a Pose-itano but I thought it might be a dupe for a few others. I'll yet you know if I pick it up.

Hey Jess! Yes, I wondered if it was a dupe for any other mint shades I already own. Please let me know what you think of it when you get it!

Would love to see Ciao effect vs warm and toasty turtleneck please! I've been waiting for your comparison before picking it up! :)

I just scooped up ciao effect at target in the northeast US! Can't wait to try it out, thinking of picking up strike a pose-itano and sorrento yourself next time I'm there! Also might be worth noting that Capri (not a new polish obviously but maybe being revived for the collection since it fits the Amalfi coast theme?) and Not Just A Pretty Face (another slightly older shade) were on display with the rest of the resort 17 collection there!

Could it be too late to find these in the States? I am desperately searching for Sorrento Yourself, but no luck anywhere. I would love to see a comparison of Sorrento Yourself. Thank you for the wonderful swatches and review.

I am desperately trying to find Sorrento Yourself, but no luck. Did they get pulled out so quickly? Would love to see a comparison of that one. Thank you, beutiful swatches.

Im sorry you couldn't find it Sibila! It was a weird release, you could hardly find it anywhere :(. I did a blog post swatching these polishes and comparing them but nothing was too similar. Try checking out Essie Clothing Optional from the Wild Nudes line since I think they are pretty similar.
