This colour is absolutely gorgeous.
I'm so incredibly into this dusty taupe with mauve-purple tones. I was under the impression from various swatches I had seen online that this polish was more brown toned. When it arrived in the mail and I saw it in all it's mauve glory I couldn't get it on my nails fast enough. I found in some lighting, it wanted to photograph more brown, but I made sure to get colour accurate pics of this beautiful polish.
The formula was great. Because of the wide curved brush, application is so fast and easy in two coats. Since this is the gel couture formula, I'm going to assume that it will be long-lasting on my nails since the two polishes I've tried from this line were.
Take Me To Thread vs. Merino Cool vs. Don't Sweater It vs. Coat Couture
I thought it would be interesting to see how Take Me to Thread compared in colour to polishes from the regular Essie line. I originally thought maybe Island Hopping because it's kind of a light dusty mauve but I was waaaaaaay off. Island Hopping is much more pink based than I realized.

In colour, Merino Cool is the closest but it's darker. Don't Sweater It is basically Merino Cool with a touch more brown, and Coat Couture is darker and more purple. I'm loving the lighter dusty purple taupe of Take Me to Thread (but now I literally want to wear ALLLLL of these polishes this Fall!) I'm stoked that Take Me to Thread is a unique addition to my collection.
