Essie Topless & Barefoot

Hey Essie Lovers!

I know I've been MIA both from my blog and Instagram but life has been hectic with my girls' dance festivals, my youngest two getting sick, then ME getting sick and also me starting a workout program. I'm hoping I can get back on track with regular posting soon but in the mean time, thank you so much for your kind comments on here and Insta! You sure make a girl feel missed and appreciated :)

I figured the easiest way to ease back into posting would be to feature one of my current FAVE polishes. I actually had a March favourites post slated to go up two weeks ago and now that it's the middle of the month, I decided just to wait till the end of April and do a combined March & April Favourites. This gorgeous nude is most definitely on that list! I've worn it at least 3 times in the last month and a half and that's practically unheard of for me.

What I like about this nude is that it's a really pretty soft beige with very slight pinky undertones. I think it works so well for my skin tone and could probably work well for a lot of others too.  I feel really classy and sophisticated when I wear this polish. It's also a polish that is so versatile and could work with literally everything. I'm one of those people who needs to feel like my polish matches my outfit or at least compliments it really well and Topless & Barefoot works with every single outfit I put on. It's a no brainer polish which is what made it so easy to wear for a week straight.

I made sure to take pics in both cool indoor light (the very top pic) and warm, sunny outdoor lighting as well (above) so you can see it's two personalities. It usually helps you visualize a colour better if you can see both, instead of falling in love with a polish because you saw a picture and then you get it and you are like "well this isn't what the picture looked like!"

The formula of this polish surprised me when I first used it because it was more opaque than I was expecting. With that being said, every single time I've used this polish not all the nails are completely 100% opaque with 2 coats. For normal every day wear, it's pretty subtle so I just go with 2 coats and don't worry about it, but since I was taking pics for the blog I made sure to add a third coat to the nails that needed it. The formula is also creamy and self-levelling so it's a nice nude to apply.

I was looking for the perfect nude and I may have found it! I also ordered Sand Tropez at the same time and a lot of ladies on Insta asked if I had tried it before. I haven't yet, but I will try it soon and maybe do a nude comparison for you. For a girl who had only one nude polish last summer I've acquired a lot of them! If there are specific Essie nudes you want to see compared, just let me know in the comments and I'll keep it in mind for my next comparison.

In the mean time, Topless & Barefoot is stealing a spot in my top Essie faves ever.

Have you tried this polish? What do you think of it?

I love this polish! I have it on right now and it's the second time in 3 weeks I've worn it. I am just discovering nudes and I absolutely love them. Please do more comparisons of all nudes you have, I'm open to all. Missed you!

Oh it looks so pretty Kindra! I must say that since I don't have many Essie nudes (do light pinks count?) a comparison post would be great! Welcome back, looking forward to that March & April favourites post (and non-favourites if so inclined) :D

Welcome back! I second the nudes comparison! I've been quite taken with High Class Affair since it was released, but I always have more room in my heart for a pretty nude <3
